Line 6 Toneport Gx Mac

Pod farm refuses to see my toneport GX by on 2010-12-03 05: I realise that you're trying to upgrade guitar electronics, and I do like my tonbeport GX, but setup is a PITA, royal. I travel a lot, and I do not bring all my product info with me. I previously installed the'Toneport GX on my Mac, it wasn't easy but it works. On my ASUS netbook, I could not use the install disk, and I downloaded PodFarm 2. It is installed and refuses to recognise my gX, apparently I have to give it some number.

Line 6 TonePort GX USB. It took me all of 15 minutes to set it up and install the included GearBox software on my Mac. With the TonePort GX, Line 6 has.

Line 6 Toneport Gx Mac

It says, 'a GX device was detected but no license'. This device was bought new and given to me as a gift last year. I don't know where the paperwork is now. I looked for a serial numbzer on the Toneport GX, could not find it. What a hassle. Look, IP matters, you have a right to protect yours. But your security creates too many problems for loyal users, and it tells me that I should not buy pne of your products again, because I can expect endless hassles every time I upgrade without my product info at hand.

Where can I find the serial number for my Toneport, so I can unlock this f***ing device and have FUN, which is supposed to be the point? Please help me with this. Send me the info I can use to enjoy this device, instead of hating it because it eats time every timle I want to use it, for nothing. Assign me some number that will work. Let me have some fun and look forward to plugging in your gear, instead of dreading it because it makes me feel stupid (which I am not). Sincerely, Mark Lee Hunter markleehunter@gmail.com.

Re: pod farm refuses to see my toneport GX by on 2010-12-03 06: first off. Are you sure that you have a license for pod farm 2. It is a paid upgrade. You said you bought it a year ago, which is right around the time the upgrade is included for free. Recolored 1.1.0 Keygen here.

So the exact dates you bought it do matter. In either case. Go to optional addon tab.

Select the version of pod farm to authorize. Type refresh if monkey turns the checkmark next to the pod farm selected green then you should have no problems. If it doesn't, either you don't have a license or the line6 support guys will have to take a closer look at your account. Re: pod farm refuses to see my toneport GX by on 2010-12-03 08: That did it, thanks Zap. Installed version 1.12, works. I still think Line 6's installation is complicated, but OK. My GX came bundled with Ableton Live Lite 7.

After workin with Garageband I do not understand that interface at all. Also the latency is very surprising. Anyone looking at the same issue and just looking to record guitar parts, I downloaded Audacity, nice litle free program, and configured it to work with the GX in a few minutes. If you're using a netbook like me and want a light and simple program for nights on the road, this looks like a really good one. Message was edited by: markleehunter1.

Re: pod farm refuses to see my toneport GX by on 2010-12-03 08: glad you got it going. But audacity although nice and free. Lacks some important features.

Ableton is great and the built in tutorials are very helpful. Introduction To Protein Science Lesk Pdf Creator on this page. If you'd rather not use it, i'd recommend reaper free to download and try. Will work forever. It's only 40-60$ to buy a license if you like it. It had the features that audacity will be missing (ASIO/VST support) it's been a while since i've used audacity.

But it being open source i'm fairly certain that ASIO is not open source and likely not included. They used to have an add on that worked with some VST's.

Just saying i might not know the latest info on audacity. But you'll find that reaper is a well respected option and has a great user community as well as user additions like templates/themes, settings etc. Re: pod farm refuses to see my toneport GX by on 2010-12-03 09: Thanks again. Ableton may indeed be great, I just can't scope the interface and do simple things with it. News: Audacity CAN handle VST, my Pod Farm is loaded into it, worked fine. Honest, I'm not looking at it for full-featured recording.

I know it's not for that. I DO want a sketchpad that works with the GX and can record a track or two that I can subsequently import into Garageband. This is really for hotel room work.

I will indeed check out reaper! Yours Hunter PS I just did check out Reaper. Downloaded and installed. I can't WAIT to try this. Re: pod farm refuses to see my toneport GX by on 2010-12-04 06: just remembered. You might need to go into the options on reaper and have it scan the right directory for the pod famr plugins.

On my 64 but windows machine its C: Program Files (x86) Line6 POD Farm 2 VST Line 6 if you have a mac or a 32 bit windows machine you might have to point it somewhere similar. But not exact. Reaper, options/preferences The information above may not be current, and you should direct questions to the current or review the.
